Well, Thriplow has certainly been in the news this week.... local & national newspapers, Radio 2, ITVs Anglia News & BBC East.  Why?  Because there were no daffodils for the annual Daffodil Weekend.  The cold & wet weather over the winter has delayed the bulb’s progress and the plants are very short and very late.  But do not fear – I have good news – the sunshine and warmer weather over the last few days has done the trick and there are, at last, a few golden trumpets appearing around the village.  I did think that the villagers would have to resort to desperate measures of taking hairdryers outside or obtaining a bulk purchase of plastic daffs!

The weekend is always good fun with loads to do & see and I hope that some of you may visit – if you do please pop along to our stall and show your support for Breakthrough.
