Getting to Grips with the NHS

Understanding how your local NHS works is vital to effective breast cancer campaigning. And Getting to Grips with the NHS is a course that will give you valuable insights into the health services in your area.

You will discover how your local services are structured, what this means for breast cancer services and how your campaign can, accordingly, make the biggest possible impact.

You’ll learn about ‘Patient and Public Involvement’ (PPI) in the NHS, the social and political background of the institution and its current priorities for breast cancer services and patients where you are.

Getting to Grips with the NHS is a one-day course and usually runs from 10.30am to 4.30pm.
