Leave a gift in your will

Your present to the future

Leaving a gift to Breakthrough in your will makes a real difference. It helps to secure the future of long-term research projects such as our Generations Study. A legacy donation will benefit women with breast cancer for many years to come.

Making a gift in your will is easier than you may think. There are two main options:

  • Pecuniary bequest, in which you leave a specific sum to Breakthrough in your will
  • Residuary bequest which is a percentage of your remaining estate after other bequests have been made and any debts cleared

As a charity, Breakthrough Breast Cancer is exempt from inheritance tax, so your legacy donation is also highly efficient.

Planning for tomorrow – with your help

If you decide to leave a legacy to Breakthrough, please let us know as donations like these allow us to plan tomorrow’s research projects today. We’ll also keep you posted on the work that is only possible through long term funding like yours.

If you have any questions about leaving a legacy, or have made a gift to Breakthrough in your will, get in touch.

A better future – Janet’s legacy

Janet Muffet, currently undergoing her second course of treatment for breast cancer, is determined to help shape a better future. Janet wants to do everything she can to prevent other women – young or old – from experiencing breast cancer. Her decision to leave a legacy to Breakthrough will go a long way towards that aim.
