Fundraising Tips

Tell everyone

Let everyone you know what you’re doing, why, and how much it means to you personally to see this through and reach your goals.

Team up

Strong support lightens the load. Recruit people to rally behind you and assist your initiatives.

Break it down

Set timeline targets with financial objectives. Meet the first one and the rest will become easier as you hit your stride.

Plan ahead

Aim to have two-thirds of your fundraising achieved a good two months prior to your jump date so you can prepare mentally for the skydive in the final weeks.

Aim high

Make a list of friends, colleagues, clients and contacts with the potential to give big. Ask them how much they’d pay to see you take a flying leap.

Think big

Large events take more planning but raise more funds. Just one or two big events can raise £20,000. Focus on ticket sales and enticing prizes that will help you reach clear targets.

Ask for company matching

Many firms will match employee fundraising amounts and/or let you use hospitality facilities and resources. Be sure to work your company resources.

Above all, keep it simple!

None of us were really convinced that we were able to raise that kind of money. Yet here we are having done it.
